GUADALAJARA, MEXICO — Flexible packaging manufacturer Industrias Plásticas de Occidente SA de CV (Inposa) hopes to raise 10 million pesos ($800,000) from the auction of all its machinery, warehouse and office equipment on July 25.
The company went out of business in May, blaming “market shrinkage” and “raw material price volatility” for its demise, according to a news release from Hilco Acetec México, of Mexico City, which will conduct the online sale from a hotel suite in Guadalajara.
Inposa operated in Guadalajara in western Mexico for 35 years, primarily supplying the food packaging industry with products ranging from extruded and coextruded film for freezing and bottling to a variety of bags and printed material.
Hilco Acetec México is a subsidiary of international auctioneer Hilco Acetec, of Farmington Hills, Mich.
